Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter and olive oil until butter is melted and fragrant.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until golden and aromatic.
- Add shiitake mushrooms, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and release their moisture, about 5–7 minutes.
- If using, pour in white wine and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, then add soy sauce, thyme, pepper, and salt.
- Cook for another 5–7 minutes until mushrooms are tender and golden. Remove from heat and let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
